One of the many things I take pleasure in is making my backyard into a place to relax, meditate, and just have fun in. Doing so gives me a special place I can come to, to get out of the normal business of today’s world. Part of designing this type of place is putting in a backyard pond!
You can set in a backyard pond very easily and the cost is affordable too. The first thing I did was to scour around on the internet and look for information on designing backyard ponds. Then I just went to work. I first made a sketch of what I eventually wanted my backyard pond to look like, then set about getting the materials I needed form one of the local merchants who deal in backyard pond materials.
After I got my tub, filter, and pump for the backyard pond, I went down to a creek that runs on the back side of town and picked up some rocks that had what I call character. I collected about twenty or so rocks of various sizes and shapes, loaded them on the back of my truck and set out for home. Now I was home-free and could begin putting in my pond.
When I got home, I spent one day digging, leveling and whatnot, then the next day I put in the backyard pond tub and it’s accessories. All in all, I’d say it took me about 4 days to get my backyard pond up and running with the rocks in the pattern I wanted them in, and the plant life I wanted surrounding the pond. I only spent around $185.00 for everything so far, and found that I could add things to it as time went on.
I would say that the time and price wasn’t so much to spend on this backyard pond considering all the enjoyment me, my family, and friend received from it.
The thing is, that beings how we received so much from our pond, we thought that it would benefit others by putting up a web site that gives them all the information they will need to get started and add to their backyard pond.
So enjoy and bookmark our site now so you can find what you need.
